Why Milan?
Milan is the sleek and stylish Armani-clad banker of Italy, producing 10% of the nation’s entire GDP. Milan is known worldwide as the capital of Italian fashion and regionally as the capital of Italian finance, but those are not the only industries that fuel this highly energized capital: Television, sport, telecommunications and research are all key revenue sectors, all of which generate business for Milan MICE venues.
Venues
Milan MICE venues include two of the largest convention centres in Italy: the, gargantuan Fiero Milano, with 345,000 square meters of meeting and exhibition space and featuring the 400-room NH Fiero Milano, just outside the city in the area known as Rho; and the Fiero’s old space, Fiero Milano City, which is still available with 43,009 square meters of space and featuring the MiCo conference centre (which can accommodate up to 18,000 within its 70 rooms).
Although mid- and upscale hotel brands known to Americans (Westin, Sheraton) are present, the largest MICE hotels in Milan are the 235-room Excelsior Hotel Gallia, with more than 10,000 square meters of meeting space; the 283-room ATAHOTEL Quark, with 6,000 square meters of space; and the 246-room Nhow Milano, with 3,000 square meters in 13 meeting rooms.
