1) Introduce New Technology

Introducing new technology is a great and unconventional way to excite and motivate your team. Most people enjoy utilizing technology that makes them more productive. Introducing the latest technological tools into your office can be a great and unconventional way to inspire productivity into your team. Try to think of something that can be used by all or most of the employees so that your team can generate buzz. Whether it’s a new app, device, or software, your team is likely to be so excited, they won’t want to wait, and when it arrives, they will work harder because of it.

2) Invest In Professional Development

While not directly motivational, employees need to know that you care about them. If an employee shows interest in learning other aspects of the business, invest in that desire. Let them learn a new role so that they keep themselves sharp and you get a cross-trained employee that can be more beneficial to the company.

3) Take Your Team Out to Lunch

Sometimes, a small gesture is all you need to motivate your team. While some companies can’t completely shut down, consider taking the entire office to lunch or take a large section of people at a time. You don’t have to go anywhere fancy, but a nice sit-down restaurant can help employees relax and get to know the staff on a friendlier level. Taking your team out to lunch can be a great opportunity to show appreciation for your team’s hard work and dedication!
